"The Black Heart of Feri"
©2006

My partner Chas of Carnivalia and I once had a conversation about creating a symbol to represent the Feri tradition as a whole... I was to start by using the Black Heart of Innocence, a Feri term that refers to the natural, primal, sexual, and innocent state of the soul. Combined with this the blue fire of Feri magickal power and the seven-pointed "faery star" that so many Feri practitioners seem to intuitively be drawn to. Well, I had a bunch of things to do and so I didn't get around to it. Instead Chas beat me to the punch and made his own. (Grrr!) ;)

Well, not wanting to be outdone I decided to finally get around to it myself. This piece is based on the elements of Chas' piece, but done in a different style. Maybe now I can stop thinking about it.
